ScanMyPics.biz began when we 'inherited' family photographs and documents from maturing parents.  We had received an assortment of photographic prints with wonderful faces, cherished events, friends of days gone by and so many other stories and documents spanning for more than 100 years.  They were stories and histories yet to be shared with others.  A personal passion and love of photographic preservation was set in motion.

Our excitement over all of these photos was shared with others around us and we recognized that many other families were in the same situation. They had many, many photos and memories wanting to be shared but still were sitting in numerous boxes, drawers and on shelves.  The photos were waiting for the daunting task of typical (flat-bed) scanning, which seemed that it alone could take a lifetime to complete. How could we easily share these amazing photographs with others?  It was then that we decided to start ScanMyPics.biz. 

So began our journey!
